SCC ID Number

Students who apply for financial aid and who deduct their eligible fees from their income tax are required by law to provide the College with their social security number.

All Solano College students will be issued their unique 9-digit SCCID. This randomly assigned number has no connection to your social security number.

Do I still need to provide my social security number to the College?

Yes. You are required to provide your social security number upon submission of an Application for Admission, or if you are applying for and receiving financial aid, or if you intend to deduct your eligible fees from your income taxes.

How will the College use my social security number?

Solano Community College handles your social security number in a confidential manner. Your social security number will be used for mandated business functions such as tax reporting to federal and state government agencies and will continue to be included on your transcript and verifications of enrollment, since the social security number is the common identifier used by Higher Education Institutions.
